COOKING OFE NSALA
To cook this traditional nigerian dish,you`ll be needing the following ingredients:
grounded cocoyam(cocoyam paste) onion
salt seasoning
dried fish goat meat
crayfish castor oil(iru/ogiri)
uda utazi leaves
water and palm oil
STEPS IN COOKING OFE NSALA
First cook the cocoyam still soft and pound into a paste
Cut the meat into medium sizes and boil for about 20mins.
Turn on your cooker, put some water into the pot,add castor oil
Then add cocoyam paste,salt,pepper,crayfish,driedfish,onion and palm oil,
Allow to cook for 2mins, add seasoning and allow to cook for 30mins.
Stir, and add the uda, the shredded utazi leaves and then leave to cook for 5mins.
Then your ofe nsala is ready to be eaten.
Recommended serving: serve with fufu or pounded yam.
