New Zealand Oil Spill
In an event many have pointed to be a structural failure of engineering, a Liberian flagged cargo ship got a large crack around its haul, spilling out over 300 tonnes of oil into the ocean near the shores of New Zealand.
So far efforts are being made to pump the remaining 1450 tonnes of oil to other ships so to avoid more spilling.
