AP News- Weather you believe it or not Gadhafi's regime poured tens of billions of dollars into some of Africa's poorest countries. Even when he visited Mali, the eccentric Libyan leader won the admiration of many for handing out money to the beggars on the streets. Malian Cherno Diallo said "Other heads of state just drive past in their limousines. While western powers herald Gadhafi's end, many Africans were gathering at mosque built with Gadhafi's money to mourn the man they consider an anti-imperialist martyr and benefactor.
